Grandpa...but that is my nickname anyway!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
as above! But they are pleasantly suprise once they actually travel in it. It is supremely comfortable
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes - excellent all rounder. Not to everyone's tastes as it is a car you buy with your head rather than your heart (same with all toyatas). I was torn between this and the new astra which has a better interior but weights 300kg more and has a less powerful 1.6 engine, no brainer really!
What are you likely to buy next?
A big diesel estate...probably in ten years time!

Did you get a good deal and why?
Finance deal had actually expired but dealer still honoured it. Got some extras added on but took about 3 hours of haggling
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Finance deal was the best I could find and this is the best 1.6 engine I could find in terms of power output
What was the dealer like?
Faultless, typical Japanese company!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Excellent, the 1.6 engine is fantasic and 6th gear is a god send for motorway cruising. Really have to get it above 3,500rpm to get the best out of it, but last car was a honda so used to this characteristic
What's it like to park?
Easy, the power steering is electric so very light. Be warned the rear pillars are quite thick, but not a problem for me personally

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nope - its only 2 months old. Signed up to a service plan which means monthly payments at no extra cost (0% apr)
What's most practical about your car?
It is like a tardis inside, the boot and rear legroom is very generous
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The standard levels of equipment on these cars is exceptional compared to the competition. iPod USB is favourite, I can browse my entire music library through the stereo.
