    5 out of 5 5.0

Very cheap for a car of this class. Beware of the dealer trying to sell you useless and expensive options. Park distance control. On a tiny coupe. Stability control. Air conditioning. We opted for the heated leather seats at £600.. should be cheaper!

    Costs

    5 out of 5 5.0

Extraordinarily cheap to run averages around 45mpg and all the servicing parts are from the Corsa. The recommended service interval is 2 years/ 20,000 miles, but I think at least once a year would be sensible.

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Great fun to be in, but it is, basically, a Corsa. Most of the year the roof will be up and there is very little scuttle-shake or wind-noise when in place.

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

Well, a sports car it isn't. We test-drove the 1.8 and there was practically no noticeable difference. The twin-port engine revs nicely and it is quite good fun on country roads, but the 206CC 2.0 is much better to drive.

    So far so good.

    Image

I rate the image 5 for my wife and 3 for me. It does look a lot better with a lady behind the wheel.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Because Vauxhall haven't tried to squeeze a seat into the back, there is plenty of room for everyone. Boot space is pretty good but watch out when lowering the roof as it doesn't have a safey cover like the 206. Get the fitted luggage as part of the deal.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

It's probably a target for thieves and joyriders, but has a Thatcham II alarm and immobiliser as standard. Tracker might be a sensible option.

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

Excellent knowledge of car and options. I still don't need traction control though.
