Value
Excellent value for money, cheap insurance.
Costs
Very reasonable running costs. First service on 20,000 miles was £150 at dealership which will be excellent value for another 18 months/2 years. Mileage probably just above average, but certainly better than my previous Volvo S40 1.8. Nothing else spent.

Driving
Excellent drive, firm and sure. Bought second hand July '03 (17,000 miles/9 months old). Ex-hire car. Now has 24,000 miles and still a pleasure to drive.
Performance
Not so hot from standing start, but can cruise along all day.
