Value
Seriously dated - find a a more modern car for your money. These were OK when they were Cavaliers but the Vectra is a 1980s car trying to live in the 21st century.
Costs
For a diesel it's not particularly economic. I'm going for a Saab next time.

Like driving a bathtub full of water. More spills than thrills.
Performance
Burns off (very) small cars at traffic lights.

Died on me a couple of weeks ago - in the garage for a week - probably more to do with appalling service from the dealer (Stevens, Horsham) than the difficulty in mending the problem.

Retired reps may get nostalgic about the Vectra, but non-fossils should forget it.
