Value
Not too bad. Good quality for the money. VW direct are too expensive.
Costs
No issues yet. VW direct are far to expensive. I get mine serviced at VW specialist, much cheaper that VW direct and I get better service.

Driving
Great to dirve, very nimble for a long car, hugs the road very well, very enjoyable.
Performance
Not bad for a 1.6. Pulls well and can go like a rocket when pushed for overtaking.

Never had a problem. Starts first time every time.
Image
Good. Not as common as the Golf and it is more subtle. Colour makes a big difference - mine's a top met blue, still gets looks.
Comfort
Very comfortable, smooth and quiet, although the noise pickes up at higher speeds.

Poor for the price. No alarm, but easly rectified by a £200 aftermarket alarm.
Service
Very poor. Use a specialist - they're cheaper and you get better service.
