What does this car say about you?

People wonder why I sold my Mini Cooper to buy the C1.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I think they preferred the Mini Cooper as did I. The 5 year servicing pack made it cheaper to service than the C1.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No I think at the moment buying it was a false economy. It is not the worst car I have owned however not the best either.

What are you likely to buy next?

9 year old Ford Focus my fifteenth car and my 3rd Ford.

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    What price did you pay?

    £6,250

When did you buy the car?

    November 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

Big Discount.I think it was rather a basic model although had air con as standard so that is why it was probably a big discount.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Because it was cheap and had air conditioning as standard.I brought it as a replacement for my Mini Cooper which I loved.

    What was the dealer like?

Although I did not buy directly from dealer the local dealer has been very good about servicing although a little pricey. I had got used to the TLC servicing packs of the Mini's so was a bit shocked at the servicing costs.

Have you had any problems with the car?

The noise of that 3 cyclinder engine I find tiresome. Brought as a replacement for the Mini Cooper which I loved. I find it hard work on motorways. The hills where I live challenge it. Blue smoke and a horrible smell of burning Clutch plates has been know to come from under the bonnet when reversing or parking on a steep hill. Engine management warning light came on and was traced to the car needing a new Cataylitic convertor before 15000 miles and between 2-3 years old.Replaced by Citroen.Clutch Slipping Badly now into 30 months of ownership and less than 15000 miles.

What's most practical about your car?

Easy to park except on a steep hill fits in places most cars will not get into.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Air Con as standard
