What does this car say about you?

This car shows that I love to have fun driving, also I always insist on driving a trendy, cool car. The Citroen C3 is on the Top Gear cool wall and shown as being a cool car - need I say more?!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everybody adores my car. They think it's really cute, very comfortable and roomy. And they love the colour too - so do I, it's tuscan blue. My mum is always borrowing it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, I would definitely buy another C3. Although if I bought another one, I would plump for the facelifted VTR model with the 1.6i 16v HDi engine...in iron grey or silver.

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably going to go for a C4 coupe next...but as I say above, I do love the C3 VTR. So might get one of those.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £4,895

When did you buy the car?

    July 2006

Did you get a good deal and why?

I got an excellent deal - the dealership knocked £2000 off the asking price because I part exchanged my old car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I have always loved Citroens and was looking to downsize to something small, practical and fun - and being a young driver, something that was inexpensive insure and run.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer was very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. They weren't pushy and let me take my time to inspect the car and to take it for a test drive.

    What's it like to drive?

Very nippy thanks to it's 1.4i engine. Superb to drive in town, the power steering is very light and makes short work of parking. The brakes are very good - sometimes they can be a little too good and snatch if I press them too hard. The engine is very quiet, even at high speeds where it performs superbly - it's even really good at overtaking. The gears are a little notchy, but then tell me about a Citroen that doesn't have that quirk. The thick front pillars are a little thick and can sometimes obscure my view round corners or at T-junctions. However, a fantastic little car to drive! I love it.

    What's it like to park?

Lightest power steering ever, makes parking very easy indeed. Visibility normally good, but at times hampered by thick front pillars and compact rear screen. However, excellent to park.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing has gone wrong whatsoever...this car is 4 years old, so I suspect any niggles that it might have had when it was new will have been ironed out by now.

What's most practical about your car?

The fact that it has 5 doors - from previously owning a coupe, it's very refreshing to be able to let my friends get in the back without having to make them climb in over seats.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

This car is an SX trim, it has every gadget, option and accessory I could want. CD player, remote central locking, air-con, elec windows, PAS, even captain's chair style armrests on the driver and passenger seats. Perfect. Plus the instrument cluster is very space age.
