Citroën Xsara Picasso (2000 - 2010) 1.6 HDi Desire (92bhp) 5d Owner Review

When I bought the car it was obvious from the colour of the engine oil that it had not been serviced for some time,
This is my 4th xsara picasso and all of them have been the 1.6 HDi (Diesel) version.
After giving it a full service with oils,filters, and checked right over the car runs very well.
I have vast experience of these cars after owning a 2005, 2006, 2008 and now a 2010.
I've towed trailers and a caravan with all the gear needed for a caravaning holiday without any problems.
I'm retired now and enjoy driving around the west country where I live, and I just wouldn't to buy a different car than tha Xsara Picasso. I just love them.
What I insist on doing is to change the engine oil and filter every 6 thousand miles. I always use the Total 5000 or 7000 oils. They're not cheap but they will protect your turbo in the HDi engine.
Believe me it is a small price to pay to keep this very economic engine running.
