Fiat Marea Weekend
  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

£2300 for this with 92k miles... sweet running.

    Costs

    5 out of 5 5.0

Parts ok (rear wiper motor murder at £108 though!)

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Twin-cam has lots of urge. Good motorway handling. Leans a bit in the corners, but what do you expect from such a large car?

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

1.6 twin-cam gives plenty of clout in 3rd and 4th.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Car now has 103k miles on it... starts 1st time every time, even after 3 weeks under snow last year...

Has presence. Bit of a rarity. Back end not amazing, but they rarely make any estate nice from behind.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Seats good and firm - low speed suspension bumpy, but pays at higher speeds.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

No break-in attempts thank God... had a Clifford alarm fitted, though, but it really drains the battery!

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

Never thought I'd buy a Fiat. Marea has changed my mind!

  • Problems and Ownership
