Fiat Panda 1983
  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Was given it for free because a family friend couldnt sell it but it didnt even have a clock. Or any sort of dashboard to speak of, just a bar and some cloth.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Cost me £5 for a tin of bodge to cover the rust to get it through it's MOT. It was VERY rusty

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

My first car and the one I have the most fond memories of. Such an entertaining little car.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

Bloody nippy around town and could take on most things at the light's, if only for the first 5 mph

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

It really didnt like the rain (and I live in the north east) and signified this with an out and out refusal to start at the mildest spot of humidity

I gave it a bit of cred by cable tieing a rubber chicken to the grille. That got me some admiring looks from other car owners who wish they could do that to their brand new BMW with the same effect.

    Comfort

    2 out of 5 2.0

No good at all on the M/way due to being a 4 speed and the seats were just deckchairs in disguise. But you get what you pay for.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

I've put 5 stars on this because I once left it unlocked in a back alley behind a night club and someone put a note on my window to tell me I'd left it unlocked.

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

No Dealings with them. And I dont own the car anymore

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

Gutsy little thing but hated getting wet

    Other

For all it's faults I loved this car and was surprisingly sad to see it go. It was nippy and fun and even inspired me to go for a drive for drivings sake. Not many cars will do that to you.

Did you buy the car new?

    Used

Would you buy the same model again?

    No

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?

    Yes
