Ford EcoSport 1.5 Titanium (17in) 5d Powershift Owner Review

bought the ecosport as i liked the design. was great for the first year i owned it however, when it got to 19,000 miles the problems started ! first was the starter motor packed up, fair enough things go so i got a replacement fitted. couple of hundred miles later the auto gearbox went, nearly pulled me out into oncoming traffic at a junction i was trying to stop at . the engine revved high for no reason. took it into ford dealer where i purchased from and for £136 they diagnosed it needed a software update and did it. this did not work so i was then told needs a new clutch pack fitted for £1476. i got this done and this did not fix it. now told its a new TCM ( transmission control module ). this part has cost me another £ 489 plus fitting costs. i tried to get ford uk to fix all this under a supposed extended warranty they have on this powershift gearbox as its a known problem they know about , but no chance they wouldnt entertain it. be aware any prospective buyers ! dont get caught like i did. not fit for purpose .
