Possibly 1.8, but in general probably not. They're getting old!!!

What's it like to drive?
Not great, handling is not brilliant and 1.6 zetec engine struggles with extra bulk. Fuel economy isn't very good either - about 30 mpg!!! If you want an estate go for 1.8 version (or later tdi if you want good fuel economy). Give 1.6 and below a wide berth.
