We bought ours at 11,000 miles at an x reg for 5,000! Bargain! Even has a CD player and Air Con!

Extremely cheap to run. Can get parts for next to nothing.

It handles really well on corners. Even better than the Focus I drive at work.
Performance
The TDi 1.8 isn't a firecracker, but it is from the Focus and gets you from A to B quite quickly.

A bit dated, but looks good with the finesse Triangular alloys and Spoiler.

Really comfortable, having to haul the kids luggage and the dog to London once a month, and they havn't complained once!
