What does this car say about you?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everybody loves this car. Not only is it practical and safe and economical etc but it has kept all of the character of older cars that has been lost in newer models. it will be greatly missed when i sell it later this year and i have already had members of my family asking if we can keep it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I don't think another fiesta would be my first choice. simply because it's a little small for me. the driving position is fine. I'm over 6 foot and need to move the seat forward to reach the pedals. but i think it's a little small to have as a second car. still high on the list though!

What are you likely to buy next?

I am a big ford fan so there has never been any question whether it would be a ford or not. the car that i am most interested in is a MK6 Escort 1.8 SI.

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    £125

When did you buy the car?

    February 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My parents bought me this car as my first car and if i'm honest they chose it simply because it was the cheapest around at only £125. but i soon came to realise just how good it was. I've always been a huge fan of fords and this was the only real choice for me.

    What's it like to drive?

Beautiful to drive. amazing acceleration up to about 40 but then hardly any power after that. this is perfect for city driving but is a pain on the open road as it means overtaking anything is a huge challenge. The handling (as will all fords) is amazing! awesome grip around corners and literally no play in the steering wheel. also picks up nicely when pulling off and is nearly impossible to stall! even if you push your luck a little too far you can always recover it.

    What's it like to park?

Amazing to park. very small car with nice power at low speeds. makes it easy to park on hills etc... big rear windows so seeing what you are doing makes it even easier.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Literally the only problems i've had are the throttle sticking from time to time but this is a known and common fault and also the typical rust on the rear arches.neither of these small issues would put me off the car though.

What's most practical about your car?

Small and nippy in town. Extremely easy to park.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I like the fact that their isn't really any gadgets or accessories as it means the car is cheap to run and repair.
