Ford Focus C-MAX (2003 - 2010) 1.6 Zetec 5d Owner Review

I brought this car not long after the birth of my second child. I needed the space for a double push chair so it kind of met the bill. It’s nothing special to drive, it rolls when cornering and, with this engine at least (1.6 petrol) doesn’t pull and only does around 29 mpg, I had a 1.8 turbo Octavia in the past that was more economical!! To be fair, they are some good points, the rear seats come out, great for doing big runs to the tip or collecting furniture and of course boot space. Reliability, well its knocks and bangs a lot now after 2 years and the boot sensor keeps saying it’s open even though it’s not. To say basically, if you want a focus c max, get a diesel one but I wish I bought an estate or a zafira.
