  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Not much I'd imagine. There is the snob factor (which my wife suffers from badly) but to be fair I have had a few people commenting on it in a positive way. no one seems to slate them, particuarly if they have had one of them.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

    never asked them.

Would you buy this car again and why?

yes. Maybe in a different colour, but yes. Its a good choice. lot of fun, not a lot of money.

What are you likely to buy next?

possibly something a tad bigger as the kids grow bigger....possibly...possibly not..

    £7,000

When did you buy the car?

    July 2010

Did you get a good deal and why?

I got a good deal, but only because I did well on the part ex price, the actual price of the Focus was pretty much as expected

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

wanted a change from the usual large 4x4

    fine, no problems.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Without exception it is the best car for real world driving that I have ever driven (and I have had about 30 cars). Responsive, comfortable, good in the wet, stops well, corners excellently. Very cheap to run. Only criticism is a tad of road noise above 80mph. Although that maybe the harder suspension and the alloys on this model?

    What's it like to park?

    err...fine.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Both headlamps blew at the same time - an easy fix and the pollen filter started to smell like old milk inside the car. This is quite common when they get wet and we did have 2 months of snow at the time. Another easy fix for a new £11 pollen filter. The fuel gauge also never truly registers as full, always just over 3/4 even if you fill it to the brim. But thats a minor point.

What's most practical about your car?

It does every thing well. Simply its a good usable size, you can fit loads in it yet its not too big to drive. It looks really good, very stylish, yet not too flash. It handles exceptionally well and its got an excellent engine, yet its cheap to tax and does good MPG. What more do you want from a car?

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I like the Sony stereo (with it being a Titanium) and the option to plug your iPod in. Sports seats are brilliant.
