Other Ford Focus (2005 - 2011) models:

  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

Sensible mainstream economical head has kicked in, but still can kick some ass if we choose to..

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Kids love it, parents love it, friends like it. Not had it long enough for neighbours to comment yet.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Too early to say, but am impressed so far.

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably, maybe the sport or ghia range.

  • Buying experience

    3 out of 5 3.0

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £8,700

When did you buy the car?

    September 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

We got a good enough deal for the year of the car, mileage and condition. On top of the price the price we paid was a 3 yr warranty for £699.00.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Have experienced fords before, so when the chance came to change our family car this was top of the list as being a middle of the road, well priced with all the toys medium sized car.

    What was the dealer like?

Friendly, knowledgable and co-operative. When they said they were putting fuel in the car we were pleasantly surprised to see a full tank when we picked it up.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Had a puma a few yrs back. Handling is very reminiscent of that. Top gear cruising is very relaxed, 70 mph reads 2000 rpm on rev counter. All through the gears there is a really good surge that pushes you along nicely and it can really take off if you want it too.

    What's it like to park?

Again, not to big and not too small, so pretty straight forward to park. There is the usual 'new model of every car' blind spot but nothing that cannot be worked through.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only had it two days, so far so good.

What's most practical about your car?

The whole car is practical. Not too big and not too small. The economy compared to our old 4x4 is incredible. 53mpg average on a mixed 150 mile round trip.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I just like keeping an eye on the mpg read out on the trip computer. Sad gadget thing really.. The alloys are really nice, and the general dash layout is really nice.
