Ford Kuga (2008 - 2012) 2.0 TDCi (163bhp) Titanium 5d Owner Review

Now owned for 4 years. Been very reliable, apart once when the engine wouldn't turn over when left for a month, ; jump started it and it's been ok since. Recent AWD malfunction. Ford don't list servicing the AWD Haldex unit on any service schedule, but I've read of numerous failures at around 25000 miles. Luckily mine was solved with a Haldex flush out ,a new filter and oil. This cost about £360, but the cost of a new pump alone is around £750, and my Ford dealer said they normally change the complete Haldex unit at around £2500. Of course, you wouldn't have this problem with the 2 wheel drive model.
