Lovely engine and smoother than other Mondeo models. Nice pickup and generally a joy to drive, despite being a barge!
Performance
Won't thrash many motors on the road, but it goes well for an estate car.

No reliability issues that were the car's fault!

Probably viewed as an old man's car, but I like the styling on the MKII Mondeo.
Comfort
Lovely car to be in, great air con, heated seats and 6 disc multiplayer! What more do you want?

Security
Never trusted factory-fitted alarms myself, so got an after-market alarm installed. Sounds like a strangled cat when it does go off!
Service
Always expensive to take to the Ford dealer for work to be done.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
No problems with the engine, but replaced the waterpump for a metal impellered unit to prevent problems with overheating later in the car's life. Also had the famous 'moose' caused in cold weather but as it's just resonance noise it's never bothered me.
Other
Car mists up really easily in cold wether (below 7 'C) when it's too cold to use the air con for de-misting.
