  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

Was my company car which I then bought after 3 years for £6k, absolute bargain. Don't buy new though, that would be madness.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Insurance reasonable, tyres for the 16" wheels pricy though. Service costs cheap(ish).

  • On the road

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Very impressive for a big heavy car. Loads of grip, good body control, never seems to get out of shape. Steering is light, but manges to be precise with good feel, well done Ford.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

Rough and ready, definately can't hide its diesel nature. Lots of shove though, in an un-refined sort of way (115bhp Tdi version). Best on Motorways.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Never broken down or not started in nearly 4 years.

    Image

    2 out of 5 2.0

No image whatsoever. I quite like that. It does what it says on the tin, big family estate, better than driving an MPV.

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

Most comfortable front seats of any car I've ever had, loads of adjustment. Huge amounts of rear leg and headroom. Massive boot.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

    Never been broken into.

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

Usual Ford levels of disinterest, you're better off finding an enthusiastic local garage once it's over 3 years old and out of warranty.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Engine

    Other

Stupid roof mounted sunglasses holder broke, that's about it.
