Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

This car does most things well and nothing badly. The Diesel engine cruises up and down the motorway with no problems and fuel consumption is ridiculously low. Servicing and maintenance is ok and prices are reasonable until new components are needed. These are extortionately expensive and there’s no good reason for this. Also; if you scratch a pearl white model, matching the paint up is an expensive nightmare.

How reliable do you find the car?

No major issues although niggling noises from the passenger seat. Airbag light came on intermittently and was told that this wasn’t covered by Honda’s extended warranty. Pity that. I was otherwise ready to give the car the maximum score.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Generally good. Decent ride, very practical, highlight for the magic back seats which make the car extra practical. Boot is huge for this class of car. Engine very willing and consumes very little fuel - even on short journeys. The Civic can be difficult to maneuver because its shape means it is not easy to judge where the four corners of the car are. The latest Civic has square-er edges so the problem may not exist in the latest model.
