Honda Civic Saloon 1991-
  • Economy

    Value

    3 out of 5 3.0

Bought second hand from Honda Dealer so, like everything else bought from Honda, not cheap. Prices very low now, though.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Parts and servicing expensive if bought from Honda (see above). Find a non-franchised dealer and it doesn't cost more than most other cars. Fuel economy.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Good fun, especially when the VTEC kicks in. Roadholding better than the norm for type and class of car.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Once above 5000rpm, all the action takes place. Can get caught out if revs are below the 'magic' 5000rpm. Engines can take abuse and love to be revved which you'll enjoy doing.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Very reliable. Watch out for oxygen sensor failing, which is quite common.

Timeless looks can be vastly improved with alloys/lowering and bodykits.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

    No complaints.
