Honda CR-V (2012 - 2018) 1.6 i-DTEC EX 5d Owner Review

CRV AWD with a 1.6 DTEC engine? I thought this would be underpowered so I test drove it. It has bags of power and pulls like a train the torque is great from its biturbo set up. Fuel economy is great for saying it’s a big AWD SUV. I’m getting around the 50mpg mark solo and managed 35mpg towing near the cars limit.
The gearing is high probably for the economy so gear changes are more frequent when towing and changing from 6th to fourth and 5th to third is a technique you soon get used to. This keeps the car on cam and the torque is amazing. I would recommend this car for anyone who needs / wants this type of car. Dealer servicing is reasonable but dealer parts are expensive so shop around.
