I paid £4000 for mine a year ago. Done 40,000 miles in and enjoyed every one of them.
Costs
Bits are expensive, but then it wont break down! £35 for ariel antenna (car wash).

Best fun I've had for years in a car.
Performance
Mine topped 150 on the M74, it will criuse all day at 100 and still seems to do around 30mpg.

Never had a problem, but I service it regularly.

I think it looks great and it saddens me that when it's, gone thats it. The newer shaped one is boring looking and Honda haven't really come up with the same good looks since.
Comfort
Snug in the front, the back? forget it! Room for briefcase and pigmy child.
