In their own words

I bought this as a mile munching alternative to a BMW, or Mercedes, everything looked good, it even has a Merc engine and gearbox, top that off by being U.K. built, and it seemed like a sensible decision. It drives really well, provided that super sporty isn’t your thing...the 4 pot diesel gets ragged and noisy when pushed, it might be (should be) very different as a hybrid with the 3.5l engine. It’s full of gadgets, but non of them work as well, or intuitively as the German version, the built in satNav really struggles if you are locating a destination by place name, often not finding your address as it believes it’s in a different location, annoying, as post codes are not always available. The seats are super comfy, designed by NASA to be so apparently! Downsides. The dealer network when I bought the car was very disappointing, 45 miles to my to nearest, but the staff once there could not have been more professional. They had to be, as the price for services was astronomical. There is little, to no, aftermarket availability for this car, even to the extent that getting the tracking done was a huge hunt to find someone with the equipment/settings to do it. My car is constantly chewing up near side front tyres, no matter what the tyre shop do... not cheap. Things break, the electrics have a mind of their own, and when they fail/stop working properly, the sub menu to reset it is buried somewhere in the midst of hundreds! Then Infiniti decided to pull out of the U.K./EU. They closed all of the dealerships and spares can be bought from a small number of Nissan dealers around the U.K. A very small number, a small number who are really not interested. Although the car is covered in Nissan stickers, Nissan dealers are not keen to work on them at all. My Lord are the parts expensive! There is no aftermarket support, so a MAF sensor is over £300! The lack of dealers should be enough to put you off, if not, the cost of spares might, failing that, perhaps the dead, and dull driving experience will. Would I buy another? No, I wouldn’t have one as a gift.
