What does this car say about you?

Not really bothered what the perception of others is.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Mother in law loved it - perhaps more than me, friends who we helped out last winter wanted one.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes and we did. 4 years old and we still got 13K for it.

What are you likely to buy next?

We have bought another - it's got a hard act to follow.

    March 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, good price for a 3 year old Tuscon.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted something that was a bit better than a hugely reliable but limited Hyundai Tuscon.

    What was the dealer like?

Very good, not at all pushy, came up with a deal that I requested.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

    A doodle and hugely enjoyable.

    What's it like to park?

Big mirror's, parking sensors, all round vision, perfectly weighted steering - get the picture.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not really, after 4 years the only problems have been a faulty key fob and a hand brake that wasn't great to begin with and eventually seized on. Having now bought a new Freelander the hand brake weakness appears to have been sorted.

What's most practical about your car?

For a big car it's a joy to drive. Having read some 'experts' reviews mentioning body roll I can only think they must have been having a bad day before they got in the car. With a turn of a dial it goes from being a Discovery off road to a Focus on road.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Terrain response.
