Did you get a good deal and why?

It was a good price with a 12 months P&L guarantee from a specialist Lotus Dealership. Also got the Hard Top included in the price (about £1k from Lotus).

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Pure Self Indulgence.

What was the dealer like?

Friendly, helpful and honest.

What's it like to drive?

Like nothing else I've ever driven. Corners like a house fly, climbs like a Billy Goat on speed. Utterly peerless.

What's it like to park?

Pretty easy thanks to decent visibility and the fact that it's so small and compact. No power steering means it's a little heavy turning the wheel at low speeds - but my wife manages no problems.

Have you had any problems with the car?

No, not yet.

What's most practical about your car?

There is nothing practical about this car on any level. This is the reason I bought it.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

You don't buy an Elise for the gadgets. There are none - and it's all the better for it.
