In their own words

Much better than some imagine. Build quality and performance have all been excellent. Suspension is a touch crude though, but I guess the age of the car (12) has a lot to do with it. The engine is incredibly quiet and smooth, packing a very surprising punch to comfortably overtake slower cars. The Bose sound system is brilliant as well. Like the car a lot. Will try to coax it over 250,000 miles.

How reliable do you find the car?

The engine and gearbox have been excellent, no issues. Still on the original clutch. Had camchain tensioner upgraded when I bought it as it was a weak point. Cabin and boot huge. Fabulous long distance and rapid motorway cruiser. Electric power steering tried to give up the ghost, but local dealer diagnosed dirty connections, cleaned up, recalibrated and no trouble in 3 years. Suspension is not so sporting as the Sport badge suggests. Brakes have been an issue having replaced discs quite frequently due to calipers binding. Overall a very good car still. Going for the 250,000 miles!
