They think it is an old fuddy duddy car. That is until the sit in it and can't believe how good it is for the age... it grows on you.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes love Mercedes cars.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another old Merc... I bought an E270 before with 87k on the clock and FSH. Put 40k on it and lost £1800 in two years. You can't get cheaper motoring. So classy to drive but crap in the snow.

Did you get a good deal and why?
You can't value a car that is this old really. It is worth what you are willing to pay. The car was and still is absolutely mint. All the seats have had covers on from new and it has covered only 98k miles with full Merc service history.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I bought the car as a gift to my Father for his 65th birthday. He didn't like it so I ended up with it.... so good and so cheap I kept it and sold a 2008 Freelander HSE. I've covered 18k miles. It was a 'minter' to start with though. 1 owner from new and garaged since new. serviced on the dot by Mercedes every July.
What was the dealer like?
Just an eBay chap.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It floats along and with an slight gurgle from the V6 when you put your foot down.... It makes me drive very smotthly. I need a pipe while driving.
What's it like to park?
Easy enough although it is long.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not a thing other than Halfords putting too much oil in it on a service. Couple of new seals and it is fine again.
What's most practical about your car?
The load space is huge!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The air con given the age of the car is very efficient.
