Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

If you read the positive reviews about this car you will see all the things that I would say about the car. I don’t really want to repeat everything they have said, so here is my view. All below are great unless I have made a specific comment. - fuel economy - comfort - speed/performance (in comfort and quiet) - boot space especially with the seats down - Technology - screens and functions (one point about the sat nave taking a while to calculate route is true and if you are near the next junction while it is calculating you get sat nav anxiety worrying if it will tell you which turn before you get there) - The voice control is mostly great although you can get some strange quirks (again with sat nav) - If you have the subscribed services (which I got with the car) they can be useful but generally I didn’t use the web browser - I have a phone and you can use neither while driving anyway - I also didn’t use the wifi hotspot. However, the voice controlled on-line search was great when you link it to the sat nav to take you to a place you have found through the search - or phone them up. - Auto parking - great for those spaces that seem small - previously somebody said you need a taxi to get from the car to the kerb, however, it bases its parking on cars in front and behind. If they are away from the kerb that is what you will get. I found it great generally on the occasions I have used it. I liked this car so much as a company car that when the lease ended and I was looking for alternatives I decided to buy this one. Nothing came close for features and I would have had to pay over £50k to get anything close.

How reliable do you find the car?

I had an issue with the amber engine light coming on but this was sorted quickly and was apparently nothing to worry about. I also had a problem with one of the rear soft closing door mechanisms - took it into mercedes, they needed to order a part - was then sorted quickly all under warranty.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

This was my first mercedes although my wife has had a C-class coupe in the past. She had always raved about the level of service. Previously I was BMW man but I liked some of the technology features that came standard and I also ordered the cockpit instrument display. After driving the car for about a year and enjoying it tremendously I was so pleased I had committed. I do miss the body shape of the BMW 5 the e-class is not very sporty looking but I can live with that!
