In their own words

Make sure you get a full service history (obviously). The engine really does clatter and it doesn't get much better when its warm. The performance is a bit lethargic when there's two or three in the car ... it doesn't want to accelerate in 6th from 55mph it even struggles in 5th when you drop a cog too. The chuckable handling makes up for it though. The 2nd passenger door on the drivers side hardly gets used because it really needed to be on the nearside for RHD cars. Much better boot space than the hatch and you can get 4 adults in it no problem. The 5th seatbelt stays put because you can't get a 3rd person in the back. Having said all the above though we do love it and in our opinion its better looking than the current model.

How reliable do you find the car?

Whenever we have temperatures lower than 2/3 degs we get the EML come on. The OBD fault code indicates an EGR valve or DPF issue. A longer run sorts it out though. We've had the DPF Additive replaced and the engine Hydra-cleaned. Runs nicely now.
