In their own words

Typical Japanese. Treat it like dirt and it will just keep going. Not as bombproof as a Toyota, but much better to drive. Reliability much better than the previous BMWs and VWs that came before it. It's the family dumptruck, and I have no love for it at all. It's big enough to swallow all the family junk. Handles well for a SUV and the engine is very perky for a 1.8. The dealer's are terrible. But I service it myself every 7k so there is no need to use them. I keep thinking about replacing it now it's over 146000 but what am I going to replace it with? that would offer such bombproof reliability? At such little cost? I would love a fine handling German fast estate. But fear being stuck at the side of the road waiting for the rac. So I think I will just run this into the ground. I would never buy a newer one, as they haven't really changed the car, from its original 2010 design, and have dropped the best engines anyway. Ours came with all the toys. And I couldnt buy a car now that didn't have keyless ignition sat nav and a reversing camera. Being FWD only, you can't treat it like a full AWD. But it does a good job down bad farm tracks. And with the right tyres on it keeps going. Not a car I look back at when I get out. but dependable, and easy to drive. Just right for our current lifestyle.
