In their own words

Smooth comfortable and quiet. Seats are good and legroom and headroom are great. Boot is huge but you lose the spare wheel to make space for the rear electric motor. It is easy to drive like an automatic but there is no gearbox. It switches seamlessly between electric and petrol or even both. It is 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive depending on condition and your right foot. PHEV is a great compromise. It mostly runs on electric at less than 2p per mile but with no range anxiety when charge is depleted. It gives up to 40mpg with fully depleted battery, hundreds to the gallon in local use. That said, it will take a lot of years to get pay back on Investment. Hybrids and electrics are more expensive to buy and to insure. On the plus side it is free to drive in London. Forget the self-charging nonsense. All hybrids self-charge and PHEVs plug in as well. If you are buying a car for the badge or the noise it makes then this is not the car for you. If you want comfort, convenience and a nod towards the climate it is well worth considering. Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention, remote control or timer preheat is great on cold mornings for secure defrosting.
