Mitsubishi Shogun (2000 - 2006) 3.2 DI-D Equippe 3d Auto Owner Review

Bought mine the beginning of this year so owned for 9 months. As soon as I bought it I had a full major service at Mitsubishi dealer to include transfer box oil, gearbox oil a few bits and bobs such as ball joint, trailing arm bush, new coolant, 2 new tyres, windscreen wipers etc. I also had the 'TOP TIMING CHAIN GUIDE' replaced which is recommended to be replaced every 90k miles as they're prone to failure - along with tappets adjusted and a rocker cover gasket also a plate welded under the front wheel arch. It's been totally sound ever since to be fair and very reliable so far with a few 600 mile round trips to north England without a hiccup. I hope to get at least 200k miles out of this and no doubt it will achieve that. I will then buy another one of these when the time comes albeit a nearly new one.
