Mitsubishi Space Wagon 1998-
  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

Good value. Because people don't seem to buy them we got a good deal from the Mitsubishi dealer much better than other MPVs that we looked at, particularly the Galaxy?

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Servicing was expensive. Does 28 to the gallon, which is good for such a big vehicle. We can get 30 when we take it to France on holiday?

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Good all round vision with big windows and high above other vehicles. My wife loves the height and says she feels a lot safer!

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Good peformance for a large vehicle, 2 litre copes well and works well on the motorway.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

We have had it over ayear and it has been totally reliable. Always starts first time. I now know what people mean by Mitsubishi engines!

    Image

Different to the usual pack of MPVs. We don't see many Space Wagons in the supermarket carpark.

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

The front seats are like armchairs. The children love the seats in the back, they say much better than the Renault Scenic which our neighbour drives and they have travelled in.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

Nobody wants to steal an MPV. It has a good immobiliser.

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

Very professional service. They were spot on and gave me a courtesy car, but I paid for it when I got the bill!

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

None, it gives me a confident feeling of total reliability.

    Other

I think the quality of the cabin fitments could be better screwed together, they are a bit flimsy.

Did you buy the car new?

    New

Would you buy the same model again?

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?
