  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

I couldn't care less about what the car says about me.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all seem to like it, it comfy and not to bad to go for drives in.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes and no, I WOULD buy another Almera however I WOULDN'T buy another one with the GA14DE, my 1.1 Peugeot 106 felt a lot quicker than this does.

What are you likely to buy next?

    I haven't planned that far ahead, although maybe a QG15DE powered N16 Almera S or a S14A 200SX.

    June 2015

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yup, the car was free. Can't get a better price than that.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Car was a hand down from a family member.

Didn't buy from one nor would I ever.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

First thing I noticed is that it is awful slow, the 1.4L GA14DE engine is totally gutless. If you're dead set on an N15 Almera look for the GA16 or get an SR20DE powered GTi model. The suspension is comfortable and the overall ride is good. Road noise is minimal.

    What's it like to park?

It's very easy to park, the visability is good and the PAS makes getting into and out of tight spaces really easy. This is convenient due to people in my town not understanding distance when parking.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nope, although the fan doesn't work unless it's on full blast and the remote fobs for the central locking don't work. But they're both common faults. Car has also developed a bit of rust along the side skirts, but it's 16 years old so I can forgive that.

What's most practical about your car?

It's fairly big for a car of its class, Me and a few friends managed to move half an apartment (5 or 6 large boxes and a toddlers bed) just by dropping the rear seat. Says it all really!

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Previous owner spec'ed it out quite well, although the E/Ws are a really class addition!
