Economy
Value
All in a good car, but let badly down by poor residual values. Great second hand bargains though.
Costs
Good running costs, and servicing is sensible. Tends to like a drink if driven hard, and eats those front tyres!

On the road
Driving
Stiff enough down the lanes, but comfortable on long runs.
Performance
Well, it stirs my soul! Fast enough, and probably one of the best handling standard hatches of this size. Very stiff shell thanks to strut braces. Handbrake is a bit lame due to rear disks.

Living with it
Reliability
One throttle cable snapped during a service. Apart from that, it has been faultless.
Image
OK, it's alternative, but it's certainly not a grandpa car. At least it goes as well as it looks.
Comfort
All mod-cons, and everything in the right place.

Security and Service
Security
It's still outside on the road...

First class service.
