Nothing much at all - its an Almera afterall.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Poor on image, but technically a very good car.

Possibly. Depends what the Almera's replacement will be like.

    No idea yet.

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £9,995

When did you buy the car?

    March 2005

Did you get a good deal and why?

The car was a year old when we got it. Fully loaded, there's not a single option missing, 4000 miles & £9995. Not a bad deal?

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Had 2 Mk1's and 2 Mk2 before this. All have been reliable, and in my opinion fun to drive too.

    What was the dealer like?

Very good as always. The 3 cars we've had before this were from the same dealer (West Way Nissan, Aldershot) Never a problem.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Inspires confidence on corners; it can take alot and you can feel the understeer come in gradually, to let you know when you're pushing it too hard. Suspension, whilst firm still gives a comfortable ride. The engine has to be the best part of the car though. Eats motorways all day long and really fast when you want it to be. So much torque that it pulls really well even in 6th gear.

    What's it like to park?

Relatively easy, though the parking sensors are a little too sensitive, often giving the 'you're VERY close' tone despite there's a good 3 feet to spare.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Yes. Bearings in the turbo failed. Turbo replaced under warranty. Car was with the dealer for 2 days from start to finish. How quick?!?!?

What's most practical about your car?

The fuel economy. Whilst not class leading, it retains a very respectable MPG when driving 'entusiastically'

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

No really an option - The engine! Nothing that special about the extras. They just work.
