• Summary

What does this car say about you?

The car says about me either I'm a newly qualified driver who was after low insurance premiums (not entirely true, genuinely wanted a micra), a Middle aged lady or elderly couple.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My friends mock me slightly small proportions and elderly persona, however, my family find its practically and cuteness very attractive.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, I would buy this car again; at only 33000 miles it was a very good buy. However, at my next purchase I would opt for the 5 door SE model to get additional extras such as rear head restraints & Remote central locking - As opening each door individually can be faffy, as well as difficulty fitting into the back.

What are you likely to buy next?

My next car is likely to be the new Citroen C1 due to its similar sizings, or the 2006-2010 Nissan Micra sport+.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

    No

    £770

When did you buy the car?

    August 2015

Did you get a good deal and why?

I feel like I paid a little bit too much but given the low mileage and show room condition I feel it was justifiable.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Really wanted a Nissan Micra, cheaper to insure and good reviews.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

The Micra is fairly nice to drive, it's very good getting up to speed, if not marginally slow, but once there can easily maintain its speed at 70 and can quite easily creep above this. Uphills can be a slight struggle with passengers in and can require a shift down, but which 1L engine doesn't! Lots of body roll/ tilt on roundabouts or curvy roads.

    What's it like to park?

Very easy to park, the lack of rear headrests and large windows make this car incredible easy to park.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

This car has been very reliable and nothing has failed on it.

What's most practical about your car?

The most practical thing about the Micra is its tiny dimensions, no matter how you enter a car parking space you will most likely guarantee you're in between the lines. Also, the low fuel consumption makes it practical for in between fuel stops.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

As the S trim is among the base of the range, I particularly like the interior which is the same amongst the range and I like the wheel trims. Should I have selected a higher model, I would have loved the option of the sun roof.
