Nissan Primera Estate 1990-
  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Purchased at 3 yrs old for £6k, and have just sold for £800. I think I've had my moneys worth!

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Servicing and repairs reasonable, except for full exhaust replacement (apparently only Nissan can supply manifold and flexible tube to mid-section, and they know it!).

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

    A good old workhorse.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Quite quick for its size. Never ever managed to get more than 30mpg from it, but what more can you expect from a petrol model?

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Never let us down. Bomb proof!

    Image

    3 out of 5 3.0

Looks old fashioned now, but who cares! I didn't buy it for its looks.

    Comfort

    2 out of 5 2.0

Drivers seat a bit thin on the old padding, and a lumber bar that does next to nothing. Reasonable leg room for rear passengers. Fantastic load carrying capability.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Had a non-manufacturer (WASO) system fitted, which gave up after 10 years and no one will repair!

    Service

    4 out of 5 4.0

Used Ancaster Croydon up until 80k miles. Fairly reasonable and unusually helpful, until we had a 'falling out' over a replacement exhaust system needed very shortly after a service & MOT. Used local garage thereafter at reasonable cost.
