Purchased in mid-2004 2nd Hand in showroom condition with 48k on the clock.
Costs
Good fuel Economy and being 1.6 is lighter on Tax.

Adequate and Smooth, though feels sluggish to my previous car which was a Mazda 323

Heavy Car - Engine pulls along adequetly but does not thrill.

Clean lines, and nice accessories make it look nice - for a big non sporty car.
Comfort
Space, gadgets, bucket style seats, good heating and sounds. No complaints.

I managed to lock myself out of the car with the engine running 2 days after buying. Beware anti hijack/central locking button feature.
