Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I get the best of both worlds, good performance and excellent fuel economy.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It is comfortable, quiet and looks very stylish. Only one minor gripe being that the interior door handles are too far forward on the 2 door models, making the door closure heavy.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, I rarely buy the same car twice. It's a lovely car and I enjoy driving it but I will try something different when this one is due for replacement.

What was the dealer like?
PDI and servicing carried out by Mitchells Renault at Lowestoft I can't fault them, the car is always ready when they say it will be. They are very courteous and helpful. Excellent service

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Have just clocked up 47000 miles and the engine is a peach it is very smooth and quiet for a diesel with a nice linear power delivery. Uses half a litre of oil between services 12000 miles which according to Renault is perfectly normal. The handling is superb although the very light steering took a little getting used to. First gear is too low but once into third onwards and the turbo starts singing it makes me smile. Cruises effortlessly on any road. Averages 55+mpg and a top speed approaching 120mph from a diesel, I can live with that.
What's it like to park?
Ok, but like most modern cars there are blind spots when reversing and the mirrors exagerate how close you think you are to objects. Reversing sensor option would have been be nice. Keep away from the kerbs the 16 inch alloys look expensive.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I have had it for 40 months and it has been back to the dealers twice to have the aircon checked and re-gassed with no noticeable improvement,it is poor. it still feels very taut and well screwed together, no rattles or squeaks yet. Apart from wear and tear service items nothing has gone wrong.
What's most practical about your car?
Very roomy and comfortable, cruises effortlessly, amazing economy
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cornering driving lamps really useful on unlit unfamiliar roads
