Rover 200 Coupe 1.6 2d (1996/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
A serious amount of car for the money. I get 40 mpg. Insurance high though.
Costs
Great apart from insurance. Cost £1k for a mint example & only 55k on the clock. Bargain.

On the road
Driving
Good handling, bit harsh. 1.6 quick enough. Previous car a Beemer - doesn't compare. But for the money...
Performance
110bhp from a 1.6. Good, but if speed is a priority get the turbo or vvc.

Living with it
Reliability
Only owned for 6 months, but has been 100% perfect. Touch wood!
Image
Well.. I bought it so obviously I think it's cool! Old design now, but still got it in my opinion.
Comfort
I do 50 miles on the motorway everyday, no problems. Suspension a bit stiff over bumpy roads.

Security and Service
Security
Standard immobiliser. That's it. Get a thatcham job if you're concerned.
Service
They don't exist anymore!
