Very expensive on tires with 16" rims.

Very quiet and smooth.

Good for diesel auto and good mpg.

Servicing not the cheapest. Car eats tyres but only on outer 1" on fronts and rears. First set lasted 9k miles, second set of Michelins 16k before through to beading on outer edges. Previous cars with same driving style usually 35k or more!

I understand from my local dealer Rover knows it has a problem with geometry causing adverse tyre wear on these models? Even my father-in-law who potters about in his won't be getting more than 10k miles out of fronts and not much more out of the rears?
