Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

Comfortable to drive and good fuel economy if driven sensibly. I have owned several galaxies and also own a a sharan. Also owned a couple of Previa’s. Alhambra certainly has lots of toys for the money. Sty lance model here equivalent to galaxy chia. All electric Windows x6 passenger ones can be locked by driver. Rear Windows mid and back tinted privacy glass so more discrete. Considering reviews air con worked well but not as icy cold as other vehicles I’ve owned. Was let down with electrics initially central locking then passenger folding mirror then windows. Basically anything that was rooted from drivers door.. Not a fan of alloys on mob but then I prefer it to be more like a van/ bus than a car. Better value than galaxy but unfortunately these mpv’s now seem to be plagued with issues. If on a budget u get more with Alhambra, galaxy is safer bet sharan is more expensive. All seem to rot around jacking points, seat belt anchors and wheel arches particularly rear where bumper attached. Corrosion needs to be checked. If longer term try and get protection/ under sealing etc which will save big welding bills in the future. The positives. If you have a big family then they are ideal. You can get 7 adults in comfortably. If you need to moved stuff they double as a van older versions like this seats come out easily just remember to lubricate every now and then. They basically drive like a car and are based on their bigger saloon version chassis. Steering and handling is very good compared to Previa/ bigger models around that tend to wallow cornering. Model reviewed came with 17 inch alloys and bigger brake disks. Braking was very good initially but seemed to suffer from over run. This was probably first signs of lack of power especially hard acceleration and under load. Don’t think it was clutching starting to go as Halfords told me as after using fuel line cleaning this issue was getting better. That again is one of the issues with this kind of diesel so isn’t a Seat specific problem. I would buy another but be a lot more selective next time if spending a lot. That or buying cheap and cheerful and scrapping to cut losses/ cover costs.

How reliable do you find the car?

The car was bought on finance and with full service history and MOT Everything seemed fine for the first 6 months doing 110 miles week days and trips up to London Went in for a service then nothing but trouble Could well have been Halfords or just the lockdown. Suffered with limp mode probably turbo lag Electrical problems Nothing noted on previous mot about corrosion but went in for mot and work would have cost 1200 Wonder if it was age of car or just dodgy. Had lots of toys but it didn’t seem any better than the 22 year old galaxy I replaced and that cost £165 not 2.5 k Now sticking to cheap and cheerful throw away cars. Nearest I’ll get to the green economy.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

It was a 14 year old car and disappointment more to do with cost/value for money I planned to have the car for 4 years then get rid. I’ve had it 18 months and it’s basically a rust bucket
