Economy
Value
£5k cheaper than a similar-spec VW Bora! Unbeatable.
Costs
Depreciation is the biggest worry. Insurance (group 13) and servicing very reasonable.

On the road
Driving
Great to drive. Refined, comfortable and sporty. Handling can be a little soft if pushed hard.
Performance
V5 (170bhp) has plenty of pull. Very torquey. Up there with most hot-hatches/saloons.

Living with it
Reliability
Great so far (after 10,000 miles). A few squeaks and rattles starting to appear. Nothing major.
Image
An individual choice - different from the usual VW/Audi crowd.
Comfort
Excellent. Good seats. Quiet and relaxing to drive.

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks. Thatcham-approved chip-in-key immobiliser. Alarm.

Marshalls SEAT of Bedford deserve 5 stars. Excellent friendly service all round.
