Value
Nice car for not much money.
Costs
Servicing costs are really good at my local dealer. Economy is good too, I get 37 - 38 MPG driving to work and back.

On the road
Driving
Handles well, in heavy snow in the highlands it was excellent. Found it very difficult to lose control.
Performance
2 litre engine will repond well when floored, but under normal conditions it's steady.

Reliability
New air mass meter (twice), but Skoda went halves first time because it was out of warranty and replaced for free 2nd tim, cuz it broke within 12 months. Also needed a new lambda sensor. Both of these are common for this engine, Audi's suffer the same.

People don't mind Skodas anymore.
Comfort
Comfy up front, but lack of rear leg room is a pain with two teenage kids.

Immobiliser has never been tested.

Servicing is cheap and Skoda agreed to pay half towards a new part when it failed out of warranty.
