Value
Not as cheap as they used to be, but that's progress.
Costs
£160 for a service plus courtesy car, good value. Cost of additional specialsit oil at £11.00 per litre a bit pricey.

Driving
Good, solid car, tows a caravan superbly.
Performance
Can cruise at 70mph and still get 53mpg as an average. Drive enthusuastically and achieve 50mpg no problem.

Reliability
Apart from minor problem with the sump plug, very good over 20,000 miles in a year.

Who cares? I know I am driving a VW without any of the hang-ups of must having a status symbol.
Comfort
Seats good plus all the toys to make life on today's roads bearable.
