Why buy a Golf when you can have a larger similarly equipped car for less money.

None so far, nearing initial service interval.

Drives well for a reasonable sized family car.
Performance
Performance is good, would have bought the vRS if it had been out but the 2.0 FSI cruises easily on the motorway due to its 6th gear. Returns 35 MPG, according to the trip computer.

its a Skoda, but to me that means its built well and will be reliable so what image problem !.
Comfort
Good, plenty of legroom for all and fine on long journeys, 4-5 hours are no problem.

Some people still have an image problem with Skoda; even thieves it seems.

Inital Sales very good, yet to see on servicing but prices seem reasonable.
