Engine
The ECU failed, which Suzuki said never happened so had to have one shipped from Japan. Apart from that, only the starter motor failed once. Not bad for 4 years.
Other
White roof now needs attention. Am swapping for grown-up's car (Mondeo) and I will miss my Vitara. Lots of fun and reliable.
